NEVER USE THIS WALMART FOR PICKUP. I ordered an electric razor -$20, as a gift. They bring me a manual one costing $9, when I requested no substitutions. When I explained that wasn’t what I ordered, he told me I had to take it or call a number to get a refund. And then wanted to take the manual razor so I would be out $20 and have no gift. I tried going to the customer service desk for help and they couldn’t get anyone to pick up. Unfortunately, I was traveling from out of town and didn’t have time to stand around waiting for some level of customer service. Very, very disappointing!!

Evidently they have a new rule limited items in self checkout!!! Self check out is now 15 items or less. Just started July 3rd and they have no cashiers to check us out. The line is a mile long!

Horrible. Never go. The workers are so rude, especially the older ones. I was trying to get a dress and an old lady worker treated me like a theft even after showing her I had nothing in my hands as well as showing her my money. She just dismissed me the whole time. I went back and she did the same again. Left me no room to explain that I was trying to SHOP at a STORE. Another worker that morning I had gone up to and asked when the bank opened, she gave attitude and rolled her eyes. The workers here are lazy and rude to their customers. I took a video of what the woman said to me, she was condescending. These workers need to learn manners.

Most Walmart Supercenters operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, making them accessible for shoppers at any time. However, some locations maintain standard hours from 6 AM to 11 PM daily. During major holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, stores typically operate on modified schedules or remain closed. Special holiday hours are also common during busy shopping periods like Black Friday, when stores may open earlier or close later to accommodate increased customer traffic.

I gotten to the point where I really dislike going into any Walmart. I know they serve a purpose in communities but everyone I visit seems like complete dysfunction. I can’t blame it all on Walmart but it’s just society today. I visited this location twice in the last few days to pickup supplies for my daughter for college. There were five self checkout locations open and three associates standing there just looking at everyone. Why can’t they check us out. This is why I shop Amazon every chance I get.

Ms Jenny I’m the bakery department is the bomb! She’s done many cakes for me for birthdays and this time it was a “Barbie” theme cake for my granddaughters 3rd birthday…it was called the party combo cake. The mini cake was in the middle and 12 cupcakes surrounded it! It was SOOOO pretty and everyone loved it! Thanks Ms Jenny for continuing to do an amazing job on the cakes!

Only my second time trying this location. Came in to return some supplies from at home care for a family member that was not needed as it turned out and trying to get family member back home waiting in the car. No one was there and available for returns or exchanges and no one who was at the customer service desk or available who could work the customer service desk for exchanges or returns. We really needed to use the money from the return to help pay for what we also had to purchase on the visit to the store. Checked with about 3 employees to see before leaving and they said the person for customer service was not available. I had someone tell me as soon as I walked in that the person was not available and each person I spoke to was very polite. There should be a back up person available for such as sometimes returns are needed to be able to purchase what is needed on the next visit.

Early weekday mornings, especially between 7-9 AM, are surprisingly peaceful at this busy location. If you can’t make mornings, try late evenings after 8 PM. Wednesday mornings are particularly good for finding fresh stock, and you’ll avoid the rush of college students that typically comes later in the day. During the school year, try to avoid shopping right after classes let out.
The Walmart app is essential for savvy shopping here. The Greensboro location is quite large, so use the app’s store map to save time. A local trick: use the app’s barcode scanner in the electronics and home goods sections – these departments often have unmarked clearance items that scan cheaper than the displayed price.
For groceries, check out the markdown sections in the evening, typically after 6 PM. The store is known for marking down fresh items, particularly in the meat department, late in the day. The bakery section also tends to have good deals on items from the previous day first thing in the morning.
Pickup service is a real time-saver at this location, especially during busy college seasons. Order through the app before 3 PM for next-day pickup. Early morning slots (7-8 AM) usually have the best availability and shortest wait times. The pickup area is well-organized and staff are known for being efficient.
Look for hidden deals in the clearance aisles near the back of the store. After major holidays or college move-out periods, you can find significant discounts on home goods and dorm essentials. The garden center area often has unexpected deals on seasonal items – think 50-70% off summer items in early fall.
Pro tip: Keep an eye on the app Thursday mornings when new weekly deals go live. This location competes with nearby stores like Food Lion and Target, so price matching can save you extra money.
