I’ve purchased some nice things from Ross on random occasions, primarily clothes, home decor, furniture and kitchenware. Not bad at all. I’m a selective shopper so in addition to being fair priced the product has to look nice and be quality in order for me to buy it! Not too shabby! And I’ve never returned anything, so I’m happy! 😊☺️

Don’t sleep on Ross!

Store is a mess, no rhyme or reason to any of the sections. There are some good deals but even those are hard to find because of things being thrown everywhere and clothes being walked on and ran over with the carts then eventually placed back on the rack but severely stained. They have a good selection of shoes but at the same time they use permanent marker to write on the bottom of the shoes. I recommend taking wet wipes or alcohol swabs to see if the marker comes off. I found a pair of Nike dunks they were priced at $50. They did have black marker on the toe of both shoes. I asked the cashier if they could give a discount, seeing how that was the only pair left in any size in the women’s section and it had marker on it the cashier told me that it would come off that it’s not permanent marker. Offered a 10% discount which Took five dollars off, but it would make the item become final sale so I would not be able to return it. I asked her again about the marker if she sure it would come off and she asked her manager and her manager also said that it would come off I get home and I’ve tried everything and It will not come off. It actually even started to fade the actual paint of the shoe during the attempts to try to get that off. I should’ve trusted my better judgment and not purchased the shoes, but I was assured that the marker would come off. In my opinion, they should not be using permanent marker On merchandise And then lie to customers telling them that the marker will come off of the merchandise in order to make the sale. Completely disappointed with this location. Someone needs to get in there and whip this place into shape. It’s not gonna last long with how things are going in the store.

The rudest employees I have yet to encounter. We went in on a Friday night at 9:30 and were immediately greeted by one of the associates who came by to say “We close in 20 minutes.” We weren’t planning to stay after the store closed. We were then followed around the store by multiple associates telling us every 5 minutes (sometimes less) how much time they were open for. We were told about 10 times while we were there. The lady at the front continued to yell for the whole store to hear that they were closing in____ minutes. She was always off by a few minutes too. They obviously have no respect for the store or customers. The place was a mess. Glad I no longer live in the area, definitely wouldn’t come back.

the worest experience ever ,and the worst store manager named aida , as she screamed in a very violent way to my kids whom are 5 years old and they didn’t do any thing wrong they were just playing with each other, and when my husband talked to her she talked rudely to him and he was about to call the police for her..

This is the new store opened in Gemini place next to Burlington store. From the store point of view it’s similar to TJ max and Burlington. Price is decent enough and not much of items are there as it’s newly opened. The store has departments like beauty, accessories, kids, home, dresses for men and women, shoes and luggage. There is a small section of electronics.

I’ve come to really like the Ross chain. This particular visit was frustrating, though, as we stood in the checkout line for twenty minutes while one person was running the checkout line. Another worker was doing something behind the counter with hangers but never bothered to open a second register to get the line moving.

Top Tips for Shopping at Ross Dress for Less in Columbus, OH

  • Best Times to Shop: Early weekday mornings (8-9 AM) offer the most peaceful shopping experience. Tuesdays and Wednesdays typically reveal fresh inventory. The Easton area store gets busier than others during lunch hours. Avoid peak times at Sawmill Road and Polaris locations during OSU events and game days! Winter mornings are surprisingly quiet across all locations!
  • Finding Hidden Deals: Red-tag clearance sections are goldmines – usually tucked in back corners of departments. The designer section up front often has amazing finds from higher-end brands. Columbus stores, especially those near Easton and Polaris, frequently receive premium merchandise. The home department’s bottom shelves often hide the best bargains!
  • Store Strategy: Each Columbus location carries different stock – try Easton for trendy fashion, Sawmill for business wear, and Polaris for designer finds. During winter, midday shopping means missing morning ice and evening rush. Shoe sections get chaotic by afternoon, so tackle these first. Bring your own shopping bag for easier carrying through parking lots!
  • Sales and Markdowns: While Ross doesn’t do traditional sales, they mark down items throughout the week. Multiple colored stickers on price tags indicate deeper discounts. Holiday weekends bring fresh inventory but larger crowds – especially near shopping centers. Friendly chats with staff can reveal restocking schedules!
  • Shopping Smart: Use heated stores as winter shopping sanctuaries, but arrive early for best selection. Summer items get marked down heavily in fall – perfect for next year planning. Fitting rooms get packed during lunch hours and after 5 PM when downtown workers hit the stores, so plan accordingly!
  • Local Pro Tips: Columbus stores often get excellent business wear due to our corporate hub status. The Easton and Polaris locations typically stock more upscale items. Short North and downtown locations are perfect for urban fashion finds. Unlike other retailers, Ross doesn’t offer online shopping or delivery services, so in-store visits are your only option – make them count by avoiding rush hour traffic times and OSU home game days!
