The items and prices were great the only thing that was an inconvenience was that there was only two fitting rooms and if you wanted to try stuff on you would have to wait in line for a room for awhile.

Ross has some items all the time but most things are always changing. I always buy dog waste bags there, they cost less than pet stores and are perfect for my small dog. I found a super cute wall picture it was the only one and it looks like my dog.

I had the RUDEST experience today while being rung up. The cashier was very unfriendly, cutting me off and rushing me. I understand the store was busy, but it was so off-putting I don’t really ever want to go back to ROSS. That behavior is ugly. This happened on April 13th @ almost 11:00am on Reg:4. It really is a shame because ROSS is one of my favorites or was one of my favorite stores. But I refuse to shop somewhere where I’m so poorly treated.
My girlfriend and I brought our dogs because they claim they’re pet friendly. They’re Beagels so they aren’t intimidating. One of our dogs barked because she saw another dog. I was then told I had to leave because my dog barked. I said no I’m not doing that. Eventually I did leave to avoid confrontation. I think this is absolutely ridiculous that myself and my dog get kicked out because she barked. That’s what dogs do. Sometimes they bark. Do they kick children out when they make too much noise? I won’t be back. I was looking to get a new wardrobe but now it definitely wont be at Ross in Pittsburgh Mills.

I like the cleanliness and brightness of this store. It is kept neat & is always looks well-stocked. However, I can’t always find my size in shoes or clothes (I guess I’m average…). That said, the food options (snacks, teas, etc) are great, and they are inexpensive enough that you don’t feel bad throwing away something you don’t like. A lot of the home decorating things aren’t my taste or don’t come in my color palette, But I have friends that love their stuff. It’s worth a look if you have the time to sort through.

Store and fitting rooms were nice and neat. I found some really cute items! However my fiancé and I came across multiple store associates and none of them greeted us or even looked in our direction. But when we ran into Irena she gave us a warm friendly greeting! She also helped me at the fitting rooms. She was so pleasant and welcoming it made my experience a lot better! Thank you Irena!

Top Tips for Shopping at Ross Dress for Less in Pittsburgh, PA
Best Times to Shop: Early weekday mornings (8-9 AM) are ideal for a peaceful shopping experience. Tuesdays and Wednesdays typically feature fresh inventory after weekend returns. Winter mornings are surprisingly quiet. Avoid rush hours (4-7 PM) at popular locations like Robinson Township and East Liberty, when locals flood in after work!
Finding Hidden Deals: Clearance sections with red tags are treasure mines – usually tucked in back corners of each department. The designer section near the entrance often has amazing finds from upscale brands. Pittsburgh stores, especially Robinson and North Hills locations, regularly receive premium merchandise. Don’t overlook the home section’s bottom shelves – that’s where the best deals lurk!
Store Strategy: Each Pittsburgh location carries different inventory – try McKnight Road store for business wear and Robinson for casual fashion. During winter, midday shopping means missing the morning ice and evening rush. The shoe section gets chaotic by afternoon, so tackle it first. Bring a sturdy shopping bag for easier carrying in unpredictable weather!
Sales and Markdowns: While Ross doesn’t do traditional sales, they mark down items throughout the week. Multiple colored stickers on price tags indicate deeper discounts. Holiday weekends bring fresh stock but bigger crowds. Getting friendly with staff can help you learn about restocking patterns!
Shopping Smart: Use the heated stores as winter shopping sanctuaries, but arrive early for best selection. Check summer items for deep discounts during fall – warm-weather clothes get marked down heavily in our climate. Fitting rooms get packed during lunch hours and after 4 PM, so plan your timing wisely!
Local Pro Tips: Pittsburgh stores often get excellent winter wear and professional attire due to our business districts and weather. The Robinson and North Hills locations typically stock more upscale items. Unlike other retailers, Ross doesn’t offer online shopping or delivery services, so in-store visits are your only option – make them count with smart timing and store selection!
